The ceremony was attended by senior leaders of the Vietnamese Party and State, such as: H.E. Mrs. Truong Thi Mai, a Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat, Head of the Central Committee's Organization Commission; H.E. Mr. Tran Thanh Man, a member of the Politburo, Permanent Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly; H.E. Mrs. Vo Thi Anh Xuan, a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, Deputy President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; H.E. Mr. Tran Luu Quang, a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam, as well as representatives of central and local departments, agencies, the Vietnamese Volunteer Soldiers and Military Experts in Laos Liaison Board.
Tuyen Quang Province was represented by Hoang Viet Phuong, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
The Ceremony was hosted by Ambassador to Vietnam Sengphet Houngboungnuang, together with officials and staff of the Lao Embassy in Vietnam, and Lao students studying in Vietnam.
Due to the complicated development of the Covid-19 pandemic in recent years, the Lao Embassy in Vietnam has been unable to organize the traditional Lao New Year celebration as usual. The ceremony was held on this occasion to continue the previous tradition.
At the ceremony, Ambassador Sengphet Houngboungnuang expressed his gratitude to the high-ranking leaders of the Vietnamese Party, State, central and local departments who attended the ceremony. He emphasized that the concern and support of the Vietnamese Party, State, and people have brought special and beautiful emotions to the Party, State, and people of the Lao ethnic groups, contributing to strengthening the special, loyal, pure, and rare solidarity between the two countries of Laos and Vietnam.
